I love film.
In fact, I love it so much that my degree from my alma mater, UC Santa Barbara, is in Film and Media Studies.
When sound designers watch movies, they pay attention to the score, soundtrack, and foley. When I watch movies, I pay attention to composition. I look for frames that are strong enough to stand on their own, moments that I would want to print and hang in my own home. This project is a love letter to those frames, the ones that had me so enthralled that I rewatched the film or television show just to see them again.
The stills you see on this page are the ones that made me feel excited, sad, lonely, in love, happy, upset. They stirred something in me—enough for me to want to hold onto them forever. I hope they stir something in you, too.
This site's design was inspired by the viewfinder of my own camera.
